Kodi Youtube Download Context Menu: A Guide to Installing and Using the Add-on

I'll demonstrate the addon's download feature configuration process with Exodus Redux, since it's the most popular and classic Exodus fork. The method applies to various Exodus forks and many other popular addons in 2021 with similar structure settings menu.

Step 1. Launch Kodi, go to Add-ons > Video add-ons. Locate the addon that you intend to enable download feature for (here Exodus Redux), highlight but not select it, then right-click (long press select on remote or C on keyboard) on it to open its context menu.

Step 3. From the addon settings menu, as you can see, there're multiple tabs on the left side. Scroll down and highlight the Download tab. Then hit the toggle from the right side to tick on Enable downloads feature.

Step 3. Select the new option Download from the context menu to start downloading the highlighted stream. Subsequently, download progress will show up from the upper-right quadrant of the screen.

If you find a fun-looking video while you're browsing in the add-on, you can add that video to your Watch Later playlist as well. To do this, right click on the video's title and then choose Watch Later from the context menu.

Hi. I have keymap editor in my Kodi. I heard it's no longer being maintained, hence I'm asking here general questions that may help me achieve the same thing. I am trying to map the green key for context menu during full screen playback. I've been able to do this under keymap editor, in Global settings. But I don't know where to modify to show context menu during full screen playback. Can anyone point what line to add on xml?

eg in kodi defaults both the menu and title button are mapped to ContextMenu, but in FullscreenVideo menu is mapped to OSD and title to PlayerProcessInfo - see hee xbmc/remote.xml at master xbmc/xbmc GitHub

HiassofT , that's the point though. In Fullscreen Video, during playback of video from Emby Server, or Youtube video, I don't know what mapping that takes care of context menu during playback.

HiassofT , Thanks for the reply. I tried it on Fullscreen Video/ Playback. It showed the video playlist. When using keyboard, pressing c first showed the video playlist, second press of c button showed the context menu. This was not the case for the mapped colored button. It showed the video playlist alright. Pressing it second time showed Emby playlist (I think, I'm sure it's Emby related. Shows the folders where Emby can stream shows). How do I fix this? I was wondering why Playlist button?
